as we all step into this new year, it is the perfect time to reflect on our dreams and what we want for ourselves this year. an example of one way many choose to do so is through a vision board. vision boards help bring your goals into a visual representation, but also helps you maintain focus throughout the year. this process combine creativity and strategic goal-setting, creating manifestations in the process.

so what is a vision board? for those of you who are unaware of this concept, a vision board is a collection of any visuals that represent your goals. it can be anything from a collection of pictures to just a collection of words, but to the core of it, it is a visual representation of what you want in your life. it could be a physical collection of pictures glued onto a canvas, or even a digital representation as well. the goal at the end of the day is to create something for you to be motivated with throughout the year.
visualization, which is the basic concept of vision boards, is the process of mentally picturing your goals in front of you. but here is the catch - picture your goals as if you have already achieved them. it is a technique that is used by many because of the way it trains your brain to recognize opportunities, and therefore align your actions towards your aspirations. research even shows that visualization activates the same neural pathways in your brain as actual achieving the goal set. this helps increase confidence within yourself.
by creating a vision board and using positive affirmations through visualization, you are not only setting goals for yourself, but you are setting yourself up for success through manifesting them.
